Milling Machine Tools

Milling machine tools are some of the most versatile tools in the fabrication shop. These machines can be used for boring, thread cutting, and creating slots. These are very common items in high end automotive repair shops.

Milling machine tools can range from very small to extremely large. Smaller versions are generally used for making jewelry, or for manufacturing small metal pieces for a number of applications. Large machines are generally only found in large-scale fabrication shops.

Some companies sell milling machine tools as packaged sets. These are a convenient, inexpensive way for the home shop enthusiast to get started in milling operations. Many of these home starter kits require no machine other than an average drill press.
